This committee may be one of the more critical groups for the association. Their purpose is focused on maintaining the integrity of the area impacted by developments and construction. This committee has developed a long established rapport with our city council representatives as well as the EBR Planning and Zoning Commission and has helped keep a strong voice in decisions and discussions as zoning requests and new developments continue to encroach into Old Goodwood.
Zoning requests under consideration by the commission or council are posted on the Zoning Page.
Always a critical aspect of any organization, the communication committee works to maintain an up to date database of residents and members of the association. Email, phone, and address information are utilized to keep residents updated on zoning, development, street, community and safety concerns throughout the area. Utilizing the services of OneCallNow.com, information can be shared with the members in a matter of minutes when critical events take place.
The committee also oversees the sharing of social and community events that may be of interest through the website and the Facebook page.
